"The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature, with an open mind."
- Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus
First you’ll fill out some paperwork describing you, your health history and your health goals. Our paperwork is easy to complete and helps us to get to know you.
Next, you’ll meet the doctor. He’ll read over your health history and then do an examination. He'll study the way you turn and bend. We may test your reflexes. These and other physical, orthopedic and chiropractic tests will help him to locate the areas of your spine that could be the cause of your problem.
Then, he'll study the results and give you a complete report of our findings. He'll explain to you what he’s found and the conclusions he’s reached. If he finds that you'd benefit from consulting a different practitioner, he'll make the proper referral. Otherwise, he'll recommend a program of specific chiropractic adjustments.
This is a clinical decision that varies from patient to patient, however, usually, you will receive your first treatment during your first visit.
Sometimes, but not always. X-rays can be helpful. But aren’t always necessary. If, following a carefully performed history, physical and regional evaluation, and consideration of cost/benefit/radiation exposure ratios we decide not to take pictures of your spine, we won’t. We can tell if we are going to need x-rays after completing our other examinations.
